The six-week Music, Tarot and Astrology course is designed to focus
and accelerate the student’s learning process of these three Hermetic
Sciences. We will be taking a step-by-step journey through the
skeletal foundation of the Major Arcana. Each student has an
autonomous thread space, or Alchemical lab, to keep a journal of their
work and share with the group. It is imperative that you have at least
seven hours to dedicate to this practice per week. Please also leave a
few hours per week for computer time, to read and respond to other
member’s threads. This is how our community’s morphic field becomes
activated!

Those who have a background in basic musical concepts (note-names,
scales, modes, chords, etc) may find this study course very
interesting. Astrology is like the glue between abstract realms of
music and the linear realm of textual language. Learn about the
structural similarities between astrological “aspecting” and harmonic
intervals. This study will breathe life and imagery into your
perception of music, if you make time every day to do the work.

Advanced Course

Tone Color Alchemy
Music, Tarot, and Sacred Geometry

This course is available only to those members who have already completed and passed the first six week course. Alternatively, applicants who have a working knowledge of the BOTA tarot deck and the concepts of tone-color as they apply to this system, will be considered as eligible for this Advanced course.

We will study the fundamentals of music theory, including scales and modes, chord formations and harmonic analysis, and rhythmic notation. These fundamentals will be studied in the context of the tarot cards. The imagery of the cards will then be studied intensively, and the principles of musical harmony will be abstracted from this imagery. Finally, these new skills will be applied to 21st century composition techniques of CHANCE OPERATIONS as a means of integrating the imagery of Tarot back into musical improvisation and theatrics.

All are welcome to participate in the beginners course. No prior knowledge is required, though we strongly recommend a basic understanding of the principles of astrology and tarot, as this program tends to attract individuals who are already conversant in these ideas.
